Alisa is a patent paralegal who has more than 25 years experience in the legal field, primarily in intellectual property. In particular, she is highly skilled in U.S. and international patent filing and prosecution. She has worked in the corporate environment and in various law firms and understands the limitations in each setting. Aurora Consulting was founded to address these limitations and provide unique patent strategy support for corporations and startups. Thus, Alisa was a natural fit for Aurora Consulting.
Previously, she worked as a legal specialist or legal secretary for the following law firms, among others: Dinsmore & Shohl LLP; Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP; Gifford Krass Sprinkle Anderson & Citkowski, PC (now Dinsmore & Shohl LLP); Rader, Fishman & Grauer PPLC (now Fishman Stewart PPLC); and Harness, Dickey & Pierce, PLC. As part of her responsibilities, Alisa was solely accountable for patent management of a Fortune 500 company. She worked with both the client and individual inventors from disclosure through patent application filing to patent issuance. She also previously worked on a large international client team responsible for all U.S. patent filings, including management of incoming work assignments/patent filings etc. with more than 30 different Japanese firms on behalf of the international client. Over the years, Alisa has trained and provided guidance to legal secretaries, attorneys, patent agents and accounting personnel.
