Aurora Consulting is a full-service patent strategy firm. Our team is fully distributed and built on the latest technology so that we can meet the needs of our clients across the globe. We offer solutions in the areas of portfolio management, patent portfolio growth, and strategic patent prosecution.

We specialize in working with early stage life science, medical​ device, digital health, and software companies to develop valuable patent portfolios through highly tailored, comprehensive strategies. We scale with our clients’ needs and deeply understand the nuances of technology and patent strategy, and how to tie them effectively to business objectives.​ We are responsive, accessible and we move at the speed of startup.​
 
Aurora Consulting started its journey in 2012 as Hudak Consulting Group. Its founder, Jessica Hudak, witnessed firsthand the struggles start-ups faced in finding strategy-minded patent professionals, protecting their technology, and staying within a budget. She wanted to create a firm in which its professionals worked with start-ups as their dedicated “in-house” patent professional, rather than as an outsider billing for every phone call, meeting, and email. Jessica wanted to provide her clients with someone who would understand the technology as well as the engineers and scientists in the company, appreciate the nuances of an effective IP strategy, and tie it effectively to the company's business objectives. Further, knowing that IP budgets are limited, she wanted start-ups to know the bottom line before any work was started and to benefit from transparent flat rate billing along the way. Hudak Consulting Group, now Aurora Consulting, was born out of these ambitions.
