Sasha spent several years in the Patents and Innovation group at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a well-known Silicon Valley law firm where she worked on a broad range of technologies in the fields of Bioengineering and Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Renewable Energy, and Software. She is a registered patent agent with the USPTO, and has worked on patent landscape analysis, patent filing and prosecution, competitor analysis, as well as funding and regulatory strategy for early stage, mid-stage, and late stage startups.
In addition to her work in science and engineering patents, innovation, and strategy, Sasha has worked as a member of an early stage startup team where she helped design and develop the backend structure and front-end interfaces for an advanced scheduling and collaboration system.
Sasha earned her Ph.D. in Biophysics from University of California Berkeley. She has worked in broad fields ranging from Bioengineering to Computer Science. During her Ph.D., she also taught a graduate level course in Bioinformatics, which included an introduction to machine learning.
Prior to her Ph.D., Sasha received an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of California Santa Barbara where she focused her studies on Pharmacology and Biomaterials Science as well as took courses in technology management. She graduated with Honors and Distinction in the Major of Biochemistry.
