Joanna is a patent paralegal with almost twenty years of experience. While she started out in employment and entertainment law, she quickly moved to intellectual property. She has handled patent litigation, patent prosecution, and trademark work, both US and foreign. Additionally, she has handled docketing, billing, and auditing responsibilities. She has also been involved in the transition to new docket management systems, IDS management systems, and the development of other patent-specific software tools, as well as assisting with the development of practice guidelines for both companies and law firms.
Previously, Joanna has worked for a solo practitioner, an award-winning boutique IP firm, and a mid-sized West Coast practice. She holds a BA in English from Kennesaw State University and has served as chairman of a local Catholic School Advisory Council.
